Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! We spent a long weekend at one of our favorite places Smith Lake. The weather cooperated and we were able to get in several boat rides. Hayes is tolerating the life jacket a little better. Once the boat engine gets going he's down for the count. Sleeping on the boat is one of his momma's favorite activities as well. More snoozing than skiing going on!

We were worried about protecting this fair skinned baby, but Hayes was very cooperative. He doesn't mind wearing a hat and actually liked having on his sunglasses. He is very sensitive to the bright sunlight so the shades really helped. Jeffrey is calling him "Hollywood."

Hayes loves his Caroline. Here they are riding the tram down to the boat. We had a fantastic brunch at the Lakeshore Inn.

Brotherly Love

My big brother, Satch loves me so. He watches every bite making sure I don't spill. If I do, he quickly cleans it up so Mommy and Daddy don't get upset. He is wonderful and watches out for me.

We spent a fantastic weekend at Smith Lake with the Tuscaloosa crew: Mark, Sarah Frances and Mary Allen and Richard, Jen and Lee Miller.

Hayes experienced his first boat ride. We had some resistance but if you look at these pictures, who can blame him? Hopefully, things will get better!

Congratulations Hayes!

Hayes was Baptized at First Presbyterian Church yesterday. It was a wonderful service and Hayes did great. He was alert and happy during the Baptism and slept through the sermon. We were surrounded by family and friends. Not only have we been blessed with Hayes but our families, friends and our church. We thank God for this wonderful blessing and beautiful baby.Hayes was wiped out after hosting lunch for everyone.

Merry Christmas

Where to start.... All of our Christmas was so much fun! We are so blessed with a healthy, happy family. The presents under the tree were just icing on the cake. Hayes is a solid chunk of love... nearly 18 pounds worth.

Here he is with his cousin Luke (age 3) who only has ten pounds on him. His little cousin Joseph will catch up soon, but if not Hayes has got his back!

Stocking Stuffer! I started working on this Christmas stocking nearly four years ago in hopes of giving it to our firstborn child. I had it about 85% completed when Hayes was born. My fairy godmother Victoria pulled off a miracle and got it finished before Christmas.

Fun family photos....

All I Want for Christmas...

Hayes and I took a quick trip to visit Santa last Saturday. He settled right in on Santa's comfy lap and nearly fell asleep before Momma could whisk him away. We are busy wrapping presents, decorating and finalizing plans for the Christmas holidays. What a wonderful time of year!

Peek-a-Boo!

Hayes and I had a little fun on a Sunday afternoon. Okay, I had more fun than he did but at least we got some updated pics. He is such a good sport. Hayes will go along with most anything we throw at him... posing for pictures, noisy dinner parties, passing around the elderly great aunts and great grandmothers. And when he's had enough he just falls asleep... as seen below!
